Hi, everyone! I’m Anexis and my pronouns are they/them. Nice to meet you! I’m a blind college student majoring in english with a concentration in creative writing. I’m a content creator who began on YouTube with the channel Videl Blind-The Blind Reader. I now currently run the channel Anexis Matos and no longer post on my old one. I started blogging to share my writing. I’ve always enjoyed stories. I started writing when I was between the ages of 10 and 12. My stories started out as Dragon Ball fanfiction which will never see the light of day because I deleted them. Now, I write original stories that I hope to share at some point. My aim with this blog is simply to share my thoughts on whatever interests me. From reviews to blindness, you’ll see it here.

I Need a Break

So… I’ll be taking another hiatus. Not a complete one, but I won’t be posting as much as I tend to.

To be clear, I won’t be taking a full hiatus. I’ll still have content coming out this year. I’ll be releasing chapters of The Rightful Bride for the rest of the year as I announced when I post the last chapter. I’ve really been enjoying putting out a first draft of a work in progress. I’ve wanted to post serial fiction for a while, but, besides this blog, I haven’t been able to find an accessible platform.

I have a few changes in my life coming up. In two weeks, I start school and will return to being a full-time student. I’m currently studying to take an exam for a possible job opportunity. I’d like to work on my YouTube channel as its my main social media platform right now. I’d like to dedicate more time to edit my next two books.

As you can see, I have a lot going on, so I need to step away from the majority of my content. It doesn’t help that I’ve been struggling to keep up with my current volume of posts. It’s been difficult to keep the usual schedule and I don’t want to experience burnout. Also, my energy fluctuates every day, so many days during the week where I’m not motivated to create any content.

This is something I’d like to continue doing, so the majority of my content will return January of next year. As I mentioned previously, chapters of The Rightful Bride will continue to be released. The only review that will be released this year is one I scheduled in advanced for Christmas.

With this plan, I’ll have more time to produce, edit, and schedule content in advanced for next year. I’m hoping to give myself a buffer for when I need to take a break due to personal reasons, mental health, lack of energy, or burnout. This should make it easier to keep up with the schedule I originally set. Plus, it’ll be similar to the way I operate my YouTube channel. I tend to film a lot of content in advanced and am able to keep up for the most part.
