Review
The prose is great. Accessible and easy to read.
The pacing is good. It’s not too slow or too fast.
This is an easy book to read. The chapters are very short. I rarely read books with chapters so short, but I definitely enjoyed it.
Themes of grief, friendship, family, and community are very prevalent in this story. They’re explored very well.
The characters are amazing. I love all these children so much. They’re adorable. By the end, each follows a beautiful arc.
Conclusion
Overall, this is a great story. It’s very well told and it pulls on your heart strings. I rated it five stars.
Author’s Note
Hey, everyone! Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed today’s review.
I’ve read this author before. This is their debut middle grade. I was introduced to this author through their debut novel, Ash Princess. I’ve read all their books so far and have enjoyed every single one. When I first heard about this book, I had high expectations. I’m happy to say they’ve been surpassed.
Happy holidays! I hope you had a great time.
My next post should be a story. Let’s hope I can keep up with the schedule I outlined last time.
